Provincial Government from Limburg (second direction, welfare) supports, through the project ‘A Bridge between Central Europe and Limburg’, the associations from Limburg that develop activities concerning Romania. Their mainly task is represented by supporting the groups that are working with Romania (associations, comities, foundations, institutions, schools, youth movements, communes,…) in the frame of their Romanian activities. The project is leaded by Somepro foundation (Steunpunt voor Oost- en Midden Europaprojecten, Supporting Point for East and Central Europe ). What means this project concretely? |

Developing a network at the level of province
Three times on a year a ‘provincial assembly’ comes together where all the association from Limburg that develops activities with Romania are invited. These assemblies are taking place at the headquarters of the Provincial Government, in Hasselt. Every time possibilities for contacts, training, exchanges are created and new possibilities to deal with are presented and discussed. In this way a real network for these associations is build up.

Three pilars
There were conceived 3 pillars to give support to Limburg Organisations in their activities concerning Romania. When they reach Romania the associations can present this aspects and they can discuss it with Romanian partners (villages, communes, institutions,…). In this way these organisations from Limburg can make additional offers to their friends in Romania.
