Coördination centre for health control and disease prevention

The general aim of this project is that of developing a regional model for a better professionalism, coordination and cooperation of existing services on the area of health promotion and disease prevention. A coordination centre for permanent disease prevention within the framework of an existing government service (DSP) will assume this task.

Three objectives are to the fore, namely

professional support for health workers and policymakers through the development of a ‘heath promotion coordination service’.

development of information and awareness-promoting activities including folders, brochures, educational aids, etc. for the man in the street.

working for the adaptation of regulations relating to health (and safety) and making policymakers aware of their task.

Flemish professional services provide technical support.
