Local youth (work-) policy plans and local youth councils

In Romania, youth policy is in full development, which is difficult for a country, which needs all its government funds. Often, youth work initiatives are developed in the large towns. In other words, country communities are deprived of means and of youth work.

Via this project, Somepro in cooperation with Romanian partners (National Youth Authority) and Flemish co-partners endeavours to give an initial start to the drawing up of local youth policy plans, followed by the establishment of a local youth council. Using suitable methods, young people and originators of community policy are brought to the table to draw up and implement together a simple (i.e. attainable) plan. The first steps in local youth policy will be made. No swollen plans or long documents, yet a big challenge.

This project has the professional support of youth work partners.

With the financial support of the Flemish Government.
