Project Elderly Care

In rural agricultural areas, care of the aged is still a task undertaken by families. In towns, the needs of the aged are the same as in our towns. A number of social and medical services are working with the aged.

Within this project, we focus on the relationship between social services and medical services. Consultation between the medical and the social sector in Romania is in its infancy. Development of consultation structures, the organisation of training and the starting of new initiatives are therefore important.

Involved professional workers are taught new insights and methods of working via training modules. The project ran until September 2005.
